From now on, internet freedom is our human right

The report prepared by the acting special rapporteur to the UN and presented on Friday last week, stresses the importance of the internet as "an indispensable tool for realizing a range of human rights, combating inequality and accelerating development and human progress" and that "facilitating access to the Internet for all individuals, with a little restriction to online content as possible, should be a priority for all states" (see the article to read more). 

According to the report:
Internet is one of the most powerful instruments of the 21st century for increasing transparency in the conduct of the powerful, access to information, and for facilitation active citizens participation in building democratic societies.
