Estonian Singing Revolution

Discovered by an accident as I was browsing videos on Facebook, I came across this video, a short movie clip from a documentary on something called "Singing Revolution". I then Googled the term and came across the official website. The documentary is a gripping account of one country, its history and most importantly its people who changed their future through singing and strong will.

According to Wikipedia the term is used to describe the independence movement, which began as a spontaneous mass night- singing at the Talinn Song Festival.

"Estonia, 1939. A nation brutalized by two empires and abandoned by the world"
